PHILLIPS Programs for Children and Families is a unique nonprofit that works to ensure that youth with a variety of challenges and strengths and their families benefit from education, family support services, community education and advocacy.
At PHILLIPS, we believe any child can overcome adversity and we help them to prove it every day. We partner with parents, school systems, social service agencies and the community so that we can tailor our services to meet a child's individual needs. We deliver these through these key programs:
Special Education Day Schools: Serving students with special needs from elementary grades through high school in Annandale, VA, Fairfax, VA, Leesburg, VA and Laurel, Maryland.
PHILLIPS Family Partners: Helping families grow together by offering home and community-based counseling, behavior consultation, family support and advocacy services
PHILLIPS Career Partners: Preparing students and young adults for 21st Century careers via several innovative avenues that yield multiple career pathways, real life skill sets and industry certifications. Our youth build houses, run a vertical farm, grow hydroponic produce and design and print using 3D technology.
PHILLIPS Programs workforce development efforts were recognized by the Tysons Regional Chamber with the 2019 Thought Leader Award and with The Community Foundation for Northern Virginia Innovation Grant. America's Charities showcased PHILLIPS Programs partnership with KaBOOM!, The J. Willard and Alice S. Marriott Foundation and Marriott International in a September 2019 blog, "How to Build an Employee Volunteer Program That Makes an Impact."
